5 amazing books by Emma Carroll

Today I am going to share with you 5 amazing books by Emma Carroll, an author I discovered recently. She is a local author to Somerset with a style of her own. Happy reading everyone!

In Darkling Wood  

The first Emma Carroll book I read and a good choice. A great book with a peculiar ending.
When Alice's brother goes to hospital, she has to stay with her Gran.
In 1918, another girl waits for her brother to return from war.
At the bottom of their gardens is Darkling Wood. A place where strange happenings take place, only if you believe in fairies though.

When We Were Warriors

A thrilling book with 3 tales to tell. A sequel to Frost Hollow Hall (see next book)  and  Letters to the Lighthouse (not listed) , with an extra book added in. A beautiful ending that is guaranteed to leave you with a smile.
 Stanley is evacuated to a mysterious house by the name of 'Frost Hollow Hall'. He discovers its story and the tragedy that happened there.
Olive finds a dead body, a dead body washed up on the beach. It is all down to her to scare away the incoming Germans as the army have followed a map,a fake map they think...
Velvet's street were allowed to take their pets into their local air raid shelter until a new warden arrives and bans all pets from entering the shelter. It is up to her to find a safe location. She will do everything she can. She also meets a friend, and one that could just make her and two other lucky children's day...

Frost Hollow Hall

A wonderful book with a unexpected surprise. Since Kit Barrington died, no one is supposed to skate on the lake. But Tilly Higgins has other ideas. As she falls under, a spirit appears. A very troubled spirit. She goes to work at Frost Hollow Hall to find out more...

    First book of hers I read is Letters to the Lighthouse and now I have a signed copy of When We Were Warriors.
