When life at home gets too much for Ellie she decides to leave,after all she is 16. She comes across Morag, a girl from her orchestra. Morag takes Ellie to her house.
Morag's family were going to go on to their favorite island: Wild Island. The car journey results in Morag being taken ill.
Ellie finds herself with George, Morag's brother. They go to the island ahead of Morag and her father.
But when George goes back to the mainland she is left stranded on Wild Island. She is so alone that she starts to talk to herself but she soon realizes that she's not so alone. The island is, in George's opinion haunted and at first Ellie thinks it is just him teasing her but she soon learns that maybe he's right...
This book kept me hooked until the end. To the point that i took my book down to breakfast! It is not the kind of book i would usually choose but i loved reading it and highly recommend it.
